Skelligs

Skelligs

A trip to the Skelligs is an unforgettable and magical experience. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this was the island home of 12 monks in the 6th-century, and their remarkable beehive huts, reached by the 618 steps they carved from rock, are still standing. These craggy islands are also home to Europe’s largest colony of gannets as well as thousands of puffins, storm petrels, kittiwakes, fulmars, guillemots and razorbills throughout the summer. The Skelligs are also features in Star Wars: Episode VII.
